Children

Lil' Dragons (ages 5&6)

This program pays close attention to developing the child's attention span, self discipline, respect for others and motor skills all while having fun practicing karate. It offers an early introduction to exercise for building life-long healthy habits.

Kids (ages 7-12)

  • This program pays close attention to developing the child's attention span, self discipline, respect for others and motor skills all while having fun practicing karate. It offers an early introduction to exercise for building life-long healthy habits.
  • We focus on building your child's self confidence and leadership skills through Martial Art training. You will notice a visible difference in your child's self discipline in a relatively short period of time which will help them in all areas of their life. We promote:
    • Better focus and concentration skills
    • The importance of courtesy and respect
    • Self-control and cooperation.
    • Self -defense while building strong flexible bodies.
    • How to set and achieve goals.
    • Assertiveness not aggressiveness.

Teens and Adults

Our program combines techniques that reinforce self-discipline, strength building, weight loss and self-defense. Each indispensable practice is based on ancient methods that will stay with you for the rest of your life. More importantly our program is good for all ages, genders, fitness levels and abilities.

Take advantage of a comprehensive opportunity to reevaluate every element of your life. Use solid options to get the body that you want and the fitness that you need.

Kids are welcome in the adult class when they train with their parents. It is an excellent way to bring your family closer together with:

  • A rewarding activity your whole family will enjoy
  • A way to find exercise time for both you and your children
  • A positive environment surrounded by motivated goal-setters.

Fitness (ages 13-Adult)

Our fitness program includes a rotating variety of total body strength and cardio formats.  See the Schedule Page to see what is coming up next.

Core de Force is a total body workout inspired by MMA style training, combining movements from Kickboxing, Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai. It is non-contact body weight training, with no experience or equipment needed. We work in 3 minute rounds, working movement combinations, along with high intensity interval training.
 
P90X is a total-body cardio and strength training class, using both body weight as well as dumbbells. The full class runs approximately an hour and consists of 4 training blocks: Cardio, Lower Strength, Upper Strength and Core. It will require you you have dumbbells to get the most out of the strength blocks.
 
Transform is a high-intensity cardio conditioning class using a step platform. It runs 26 minutes on its own but we also will be pairing it with our other formats into a 1 hour class. It is suitable and modifiable for all fitness level and can even be done without a step for a lower intensity workout.
 
Insanity is a high intensity cardio workout that uses body-weight exercises focusing on plyometrics, speed, strength, power, agility, coordination and abs/core.
 
Metcon Rx is a full body interval training class focusing on strength, power, athletic performance and core stability. It incorporates functional movements in high intensity intervals. Dumbbells are used during this class.
 
Cardio-Core will raise your heart rate and fire up your abs with Tabata training (20 seconds on / 10 seconds off), focusing on speed, strength, agility, power, endurance, and athleticism. Dumbbells are used during this class.

Aikido

Kids and Adults Aikido Classes

Aikido does not rely on physical power but on techniques that use an attacker's strength against themselves. Not only will students learn to defend themselves, they will develop focus, improve coordination, enrich interpersonal skills and build self-esteem.

Competition Team

Members of our school participate in the Michigan Sport Karate Circuit, throughout Southeastern Michigan and Canada.  This is a year long program that offers the students a monthly opportunity to compete with their peers in Kata, Weapons and Sparring.

 Additionally, a select few students compete in the World Karate and Kickboxing Commission tournaments where they face international competition as part of Team USA
